Acquiring a compiler team doesn't change the basic problem here, FHE-for-blockchains is still trying to sell latency and ciphertext blowup as if a better frontend makes them disappear. The press release language is doing the usual circus act around "making encrypted" things sound imminent. Maybe the compiler work is useful, but that's a far cry from turning this into something people can actually use without waiting forever and paying for it twice.
