The moment provenance survives resizing and transforms, the incentive flips a bit, because the easy “just strip it on re-encode” escape hatch goes away (which is what a lot of watermarking and chain-of-custody tooling quietly depends on). If this gets boring enough to ship, I can see it nudging video platforms toward mandatory attestations at ingest, and that’s a very different power structure than today’s post-hoc forensics...
